Cobra's are vicious creatures, but it's this quality that makes them so interesting. Cobra's like other snakes are deadly...but why exactly? If someone is bitten by a snake whats the worst that can happen...they get a bite wound? Well that's what makes snakes diverse, their venom.
It's never the snakes bite that kills people, its their poison. Always keep in mind that snakes have no intention of killing humans, just defending themselves.
I like symbolism! There I said it.
"A cobra, snake, or serpent is generally, but not always, used to symbolize temptation into sin just as when the serpent tempted Eve into sinning. Also, it can be used to symbolize something very sneaky, bad, and dangerous. That's why when a person is called a snake in the grass, it means something bad about that person. The word snake, is used to imply that a person is bad. This is used in many different countries and different cultures around the world".
WikiAnswers.com is where I found this.
